Security

Crime typically is not a problem for visitors to New Jersey.  New Jersey has one of the lowest crime rates in the region.  In 2009, it ranked as the 16th safest state, a four position increase from 2008.  As with all travel, travelers are advised to always be aware of their surroundings.
